#89 Adding to our [Wedding] Party

So, as you may recall, I need to formally ask my sister to be my MOH and Mr. P needs to ask his Best Man (which he will in 2 weeks, we have a date). 

Today, we went to Mr. P's family Christmas. We had a splendid time. The only bad part is the drive (about 4 hours one way). On our way out, however, we were talking about our wedding. I love when this happens. We decided we should chat about who else we want to provide special talents at our wedding. We came up with the following list:

• 2 ushers
• 2 music people
• Flower girls and ring bearer
• Bridal personal attendant (S)
• Readers (?)

So. There you have it. If we go with all of these titles, we have them all picked out, except for the readers. I can't put their names in yet because only S knows about it! The rest need to be asked. I'm about to burst with excitement!

Then I was talking to Mr. P about who's actually going to be officiating our wedding. You know, that thing that's happening in about 5 months. We've been attending a Church here in Milwaukee for the past month or so and we like it there. We just need to decide if we want the pastor to perform the ceremony or someone else. 

The nice thing about getting married in Wisconsin is you do not have to be a minister/judge/etc. You just need to be registered. So, we can basically ask anyone about this. We do not have any ideas on who we want to do this for us. We'll have to get back to this ASAP.

We also came up with a whole host of other things we need to do. We have to:

• Thank you note for Christmas exchange 
• Monday call Caterer to set up tasting 
• Tonight pick entrees to taste
• By Jan 31 go to P.O. and apply for passports
• This week contact DJs for references
• Next week set up appointments with photographers
• Ask BM, musicians, and ushers
• Call Virmond Park about application
• Get tickets for bridal expo in Milwaukee
• Get length of table at Aunt Sue's for runner
• Contact hotels about room blocks 

Plus about a million other things I need to do to get ready for this event. I can't even begin to think about a lot of things until after the Bridal Expo next weekend. Mr. P is going to me with that. I'm very excited. I've never been to a wedding expo. I'm actually excited to such a wedding-ish thing. It seems very girly and not entirely necessary, but I think I'll enjoy it!
